Many Battles Lost, But I'm not Defeated

Hey!

Wow - March was my last post!

I've lost many weight loss battles but I'm here again which means I haven't been defeated!
I've been working hard these past three weeks and am seeing results. I am feeling better every day.

I'll be back later to fill you in on the details.

From fifty-four and fat to Fifty-five and fit

I was on a great weight loss trend up till Christmas.... then I will start tomorrow reasoning (repeated daily) snowballed into a 23 pound gain.

I turned fifty-four on Saturday and thought it a great idea to be fit at fifty and begin the second half of my life fitter than the first half.

Daily Goal:
  1. 10,000 Steps
  2. Healthy foods in healthy portions:
    • Minimal Lean Meats
    • Chicken
    • Fish
    • Oatmeal
    • Nuts (small portions)
    • Fruits and Vegitibles
  3. Resistance Training
  4. Increase Water Intake
  5. Introduce meditation - 15 minutes per day initially

Thirty Pounds

I started my transformation journey on July 21, 2016. To date I've lost 30 lbs - 4 inches off my waist and 3.5 inches off my chest.

I enter Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle challenges to create sparks that help me maintain my focus - as you can see in the graph below, my progress stalled for a month prior to the Holiday challenge - I'm now
back on track.

Progress Continues

I continue to log food and water daily, and workouts are increasing (see below); however, not to the level of a champion - I continue to improve and work on it - I know and appreciate the value of gym consistency.

I'm on my 14th week of my new lifestyle; the weight loss has slowed and I am refocusing on my plan.

Week 12 Results

I've gone 12 weeks with zero gain. The least loss was 0.90 lbs. I am shredding fat - to date 18 lbs of fat. I've lost a total of 26,8 lbs.

The next phase of my new life style is to introduce cardio and weight training on a daily, consistent basis.
